I've Learned

(Courtesy PravsWorld)

I Have Learned That

I’ve Learned…
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I’ve Learned…
That when you’re in love, it shows.

I’ve Learned…
That just one person saying to me, “You’ve made my day!” makes my day.

I’ve Learned…
That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I’ve Learned…
That being kind is more important than being right.

I’ve Learned…
That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I’ve Learned…
That I can always pray for someone when I don’t have the strength to help him in some other way.

I’ve Learned…
That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I’ve Learned…
That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

I’ve Learned…
That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I’ve Learned…
That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I’ve Learned…
That we should be glad God doesn’t give us everything we ask for.

I’ve Learned…
That money doesn’t buy class.

I’ve Learned…
That it’s those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I’ve Learned…
That under everyone’s hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I’ve Learned…
That the Lord didn’t do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?

I’ve Learned…
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I’ve Learned…
That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I’ve Learned…
That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I’ve Learned…
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I’ve Learned…
That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I’ve Learned…
That there’s nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies and feeling their breath on your cheeks.

I’ve Learned…
That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I’ve Learned…
That life is tough, but I’m tougher.

I’ve Learned…
That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I’ve Learned…
That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I’ve Learned…
That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her, one more time, before she passed away.

I’ve Learned…
That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I’ve Learned…
That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I’ve Learned…
That I can’t choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

I’ve Learned…
That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you’re hooked for life.

I’ve Learned…
That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.

I’ve Learned…
That it is best to give advice in only two circumstances; when it is requested and when it is a life-threatening situation.

I’ve Learned…
That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Lovely, huh? I found myself agreeing with each point as I read it...gives us so much to be thankful for in life.:)Have a lovely day.

Life

Something amazing.Simple but really amazing..think over it. And, take a decision to consciously try and change the negatives in your life. An attitude of gratitude.

Remember, if you are criticizing, you are not being grateful. If you are blaming, you are not being grateful. If you are complaining, you are not being grateful. If you are feeling tension, you are not being grateful. If you are rushing, you are not being grateful. If you are in a bad mood, you are not being grateful.
Gratitude can transform your life. Are you allowing minor things to get in the way of your transformation and the life you deserve?
May the joy be with you,

Live Life KingSize

Amen to that...isn't it so true? Why do we want to do everything at a go? Make a list, plan it out, do one thing now, the next thing after some time...in short, enjoy this lovely life that the One Above has given us, rather than twittering, nee, frittering it away on unimportant matters. Do you agree?

I totally agree with this one- everything's an echo...something similar to 'thoughts become things'....do you agree?

Is it worth it? You bet

Need I say more? So simply said, so easily understood!!Yet,so difficult to implement with the external factors all around us!:)

Interest or Commitment

I never really differentiated between these two, in the past. But yes- when I think over it seriously, it's true. Just being interested in doing something is not really a commitment- it's like' If I can do it, fine. If I don't, I still don't lose anything. So that's also fine'

Commitment is,well, commitment- from start to finish, you see the task through! No two thoughts about it. So, let's change over totally from interest to commitment, right?

OMG, do life's questions get any simpler and at the same time, any more complex?

Life

This quote is from Abha's blog..thanks, Abha.

“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.”

Simple lines, yet, they say it all!!

A bit late, but, isn't this simple message awe-inspiring?Why can't we make our lives me similar messages, albeit, smaller, but naturally?

Life through a chicken's eyes

---
Hi all!!Again, inspiration through humour. This one made me think. Most of the time, aren't we all too busy just like the chicken? So,when can we take some 'time out' and enjoy the simpler things in life?Like, going to a garden in the wee hours of the mornng, and sitting on a bench, waiting for the crack of dawn, and,if patience and time still permit-waiting for the sun's first rays to reveal themselves?
===
I certainly hope to create time for all this, from tomorrow!

Slow Down

Slow down and enjoy life.
It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast-
you also miss the sense of where you are going and why

Crying and Rejoicing

When you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced.
Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice!

LIFE

Life is a mixture of good times and bad times,
happy moments and unhappy moments.
The next time you are experiencing
one of those bad times or unhappy moments,
try your best not to let the situation get the best of you.
If the going gets tough and you are at your breaking point;
show resilience.
Bend; But don’t break!
